[AF Forum 04] Niu Liang: An Exploration of the Origin of Huang Binhong's Painting ldeas

The Huang Binhong's painting ideas are “to understand the theory of painting, to inherit the ancient method, and to promote innovation”, studying the relationship between Huang Binhong's painting ideas and those of Chinese painting ideas through the ages is helpful to understanding the formation of his painting ideas. This study investigates the relationship between Huang Binhong's ideas on painting and those of Chinese painting theory through the use of LSl models. The study finds that Huang Binhong's references to Su Shi's painting ideas are mostly in the areas of “brush and ink”, “qi yun” and “six methods”.
