Han Great Rhapsody features fictional royal gardens and forest hunting and was composed by Mei Cheng during the reign of Emperor Jing of the Western Han Dynasty. Han hunting images appeared under Emperor wu of the Han Dynasty, and their production was closely related to the change in political forms. The distribution of hunting images in the Han dynasty overlaps with the prevalence of Han Great Rhapsody, which can be looked on as the intertextuality between hunting images in the Han dynasty and Han Great Rhapsody.
